Engineered boards are constructed of a 3.5mm layer of hardwood which is fused on to a plywood core 15mm thick, The width varies between 180mm & 220mm depending on the source.
This flooring system can be laid on concrete and existing floorboards, an underlay is used in between the existing floor and the new one to reduce sound and ensured a firm cushioning under your feet.
This floor can also be resanded and varnished in the future so this makes for a cost effective and durable floor that will last for years to come.
