Floor Sanding And Renovation

We started sanding floors in 1989 and have sanded over a 1000 floors since we are experienced and professional floor sanders who started out in this trade as city and guilds qualified carpenters we really know about wood floors and only use the best quality products on the market to maintain a beautiful looking floor for years to come. We are so confident that we will also provide a 10 year guarantee.

I. The floor is sanded diagonally across the floor using a 24 grit to ensure a flat surface is obtained.

II. The floor is then sanded along the boards using a 36 grit and this process is then repeated three times using a 50, 80 and 120 grit

III. The floor is then buffed using a 120 screen this seals the timber, removes any raised grain that may occur to ensure a table top
smooth finish.

IV. Then apply 2 coats of nova quick sealer. This is used to seal the timber so that the varnish does not soak into your floor and lose its appearance and strength quickly.

V. Apply 4 coats of bonakemi traffic water based varnish using a lamb's wool pad.

VI. We provide a choice of finishes oil waxed or stained.

The floor sanding machines that we use are 98% dust free and have a continuous belt mechanism so that there are no waves or track marks left in your floor. Most clients like their floor to be filled as it adds to the finished appearance and reduces heat loss. We do this by mixing the dust acquired from sanding your floor with a clear resin and we fill the gaps between the 24 and 36 grit course of sanding. In addition we can also resource original floorboards from our stockpile if any of your boards are damaged or have been replaced with inferior boards in the past.

Our aim is to leave you with a beautiful floor that is outstanding to look at and will get admiring comments from anyone who sees it. The finish will last for yours to come.
